Scouting Video: Nolan Sanburn, RHP, #74, Oakland A’s (2012 Draft)

Seems like just yesterday that Nolan Sanburn was playing right field one summer in SoCal. Well, that didn’t last very long. I saw him pitching the next spring and it was obvious that this guy had power bullpen arm written on him. That would be his profile and we’ll see where the future takes him next.

2010 Draft Review: Oakland A’s

I find it funny that the year they are making the Moneyball movie in Oakland, the A’s took a college position player with tools and then went digging through the high schools. Humor aside, what I really see is a balance between tools and power.

Pro-side Scouting Report: Jemile Weeks, 2B, Oakland A’s

You have to like Jemile Weeks for what he is – a switch-hitting slap hitter who can run and pick it enough at second. Weeks’s best tool, by far, is his speed. After that, it’s the ability to spray the ball from both sides of the plate.
