Scouting Video: Adam Ehrlich, C, Campbell Hall (2011 Draft)
By The Baseball Beginnings Guy
May 6, 2011
Adam Ehrlich is a guy who can catch all day long and make it look easy. I’ve seen him quite a bit over the past year and he’s one of the rare defenders who can make it look easy and graceful. A lot of your high school catching prospects, even guys who are considered good defenders, do it with short, quick moves. There’s nothing wrong with that because it will get the job done, but it strikes me as a more nurture versus nature. In the case of a guy like Erlich, I think this guy was born to be a top-flight defender. Offensively, I saw progression from summer to fall to spring. He’ll stay local in Los Angeles, at LMU, where I’ll keep my eye on him.
