Scouting Video: Ty Buttrey, RHP, #151, Red Sox (2012 Draft)
By The Baseball Beginnings Guy
June 20, 2012
Ty Buttrey is a guy I liked last summer. Then I only shot one pitch, which was stupid. Anyhow, he went good and made some money. Here then, are my notes from last August on him turned from scouting card lingo into narrative:
“Fair delivery, a little under the ball, tall broad and lean with raw arm strength, loose and easy for a big guy. Fastball 91-92, heavy ball, flashed tail and sink, showed early signs of control. Potential workhorse should have upside.”

My next book follows Hank Aaron, Eddie Mathews and Warren Spahn to their stunning World Series upset against the mighty Yankees! The team and year that changed the modern era! The underdog wins! BUSHVILLE WINS! In Stores on July 3, 2012 or click the cover to get it on Amazon.
This story is sponsored by Bushville Wins!: The Wild Saga of the 1957 Milwaukee Braves and the Screwballs, Sluggers and Beer Swiggers Who Canned the New York Yankees and Changed Baseball, released July 3, 2012! (PS — You ain’t sh*t until you face guys like Aaron.) Pre-order on Amazon or Barnes&Noble.
