This is how Marcus Stroman looked in his freshman summer on the Cape. You wouldn’t have missed the arm speed and the arm strength and you’d have to excuse the fact that he was an infielder pitching like a second baseman. Even before he learned how to become smooth and get arm extension, he had an arm that could produce 92-94 velocity, though I’m sure even he would tell you he was just throwing for radar guns here. I wouldn’t have blamed him. He was two years from his draft, so show us what you got and get on a follow list. That’s what this guy did and the rest if history. He’s Tom Gordon for me.
