I had a few looks at Angel Elite at different points in the Fall season. If there’s one rule about Fall Ball, it’s that no two rosters are alike from day to day. So as usual, here’s who I saw and what I saw, starting with the pitchers.

Connor Baits, RHP
Tall and lean, FB 85-87, comfortable 86, CB 75 with modest shape, Change 76 with occasional dive.

Kevin Davidson, RHP
Tall features, FB 85-87, more downhill than last look. CB 73-76 tumbler. Change 72.

Cole Irvin, LHP
Wiry and lean, closed delivery, easy arm action, FB 85-88, comfortable 86-88, modest bore into RHH, CB 70-72 showed shape and lacked power, Change 80, looking for feel in this look.

Kent Mathews, LHP
Tall and wiry. Throws across body, FB 84-87, comfortable 86, with tail. Straight change 82-83. Slurvy breaking ball lacked bite, 67.

Joe Musgrove, RHP
Burly and thick workhorse. Trimmed up since September look. FB 86-90, comfortable 86-87, downhill plane and occasional late sink. CB 70-73 occasional bite. Learning change, 83-84.

Austin Pettibone, RHP
FB 84-87, comfortable 85 with downhill. Slurve 68-70. Straight change 74-76 with feel.

Cody Poteet, RHP
Average height and build short-armer, FB 88-91, comfortable 90, modest bore on RHH, CB 74-77 with proper 12/6 rotation, Change 81 some feel. Fast arm, hurried delivery, upright, max effort, aggressive.

Tanner Rahier, RHP
Average build, FB 84-89, comfortable 85-86, mostly straight with downhill. Curveball 68-70 tumbler. Short-arm type.
