PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Stocky with power frame; big trunk and lower half, strong legs. Body physically resembles Chad Cordero.
STRENGTHS: Touched 94 on four of his eight pitches thrown in this game, some late life, a closer’s tenacity.
WEAKNESSES: Max-effort, hurried delivery. Did not see Off-Speed tonight; throws 80-81 hard slider.
SUMMARY: As seen tonight, a one-pitch bullpen arm, high-round pick, fast-track ticket to big league bullpen; also reminiscent of Cordero. Command and control need to improve at advanced levels. Should be everyday closer.
